FINALLY A JOB!!!!

Well, I set up this blog to post pics and notes to keep my family and friends updated....yet I have not made a post since right after creating my blog.
As if my life was not busy enough, I will be a working mom again as of this Saturday night. Yep, that's right you guys. I am starting my new job on a Saturday night. I will be working 7 nights on and 7 nights off, 10pm till 8am. This way I can work while my family sleeps and sleep while my kids are in school and husband is at work. I can't wait to see how this all works out, especially starting at the busiest time of the year for well....everyone!!
I know you are wondering if you don't already know, where is the job and what will I be doing??? A couple of years ago before we moved into our new house, I worked for Walgreen's. I only worked 10-12 hours a week, which is not much. I worked at 2 locations setting up displays, doing inventory, orders, etc.. for the Hallmark line in Walgreen's. I LOVED THAT JOB..... But, when we moved it was to far to travel to one of the locations for the small time that I worked each week. So I choose to leave the position. OH how I loved to read the cards and see the new merchandise that came in each week. Last week I went to the new location that is only 2 1/2 miles from me and updated my application and applied to go back to work for Walgreen's. Also the manager that hired me has relocated to the store near me.
Today I received a phone call from the store that caused me to leave the job I had with Walgreen's a couple of yrs ago. But, I was offered a job that would give me 70 hrs every 2 weeks and up to 80 if I wanted. There was no way I was turning it down with Christmas right around the corner. And not to mention, do you know the longer you are out of work the harder it is to find a job.....I have been looking since the end of July. I figure this is about as good as its gonna get until I can go back to school. How old is too old to go back to school??? I am in my E!A!R!L!Y! 30's people. I have been thinking of going to school to do something like PC tech or prog., these are pretty good paying jobs.
Here I go back into the world of the employed and getting paid to do my job. LOL! I get paid for being the wife and mom that I am, just in other ways other than a pay check..... The love of my husbands and children, the time spent with them, hugs, kisses, and love. Which will never add up to all the money that one person can make.
So it's now almost 1am here in Louisiana and I about to turn in for the night. I am getting a warm up on my 1st night at work. I am normally out by 11pm at the absolute latest.....

Busy Is Not Even The Word For It!!!

I have to say I thought that I would have ALOT more time to get things done when my youngest child (Joe) started school. BOY was I wrong! If you know me I am the involved parent that does everything with my kids....not to say that other people aren't.

Anyhow, I am a stay at home mom that probably does as much or more that a mom that works, just don't get paid for it. I am a cheer leading director/coach 3-4 months out of the year. So, I am at the football field 4-6 days a week from August to November this year volunteering. Which is actually great, because I love cheer leading. Then you add school activities, field trips, birthday parties, doctor appointments for us and our animals. I could go on and on. Being a mom is no piece of cake, I can tell you that! So to the moms that say you will have so much time on your hands when they start school, here is the heads up. You will have plenty to fill your calenders.

A run down of my last week. Tuesday we had cheer practice, Wednesday worked on homecoming decorations with other coaches, Thursday field trip to pumpkin patch with Joe and another cheer practice, Friday still preparing for homecoming and stayed up till 3am finishing that, Saturday morning at football field for 8am till 2:30pm, trick or treating that evening, Sunday birthday party for a relative, Monday field trip to the corn maze with Lauren. Will post pictures from that soon.

This is the busy schedule of a mom. Its life, I have adjusted to it. Just as long as I can take a shower or bath in piece and get a few zzzz's, I am good. So this is the purpose of this blog. I want the people in my life to be able to see whats going on with me when I am busy. Just in case I don't have time to pick up the phone, LOL. LUV YA GUYS!!!
Yesterday we went to Red Oak Horse Farm in Livingston for a birthday party for a cousin on Troy's side. I didn't even know this place exist. The kids had soo much fun. I am seriously thinking about bringing the kids back to just ride sometime. Below is a picture with Lauren and Joe on a pony names, Snow. They don't look to happy, but I just caught them off guard. This was before Lauren joined Joe on the pony. He rode by hisself for I know a half hour. This is my child that has no fear. He will get on just about any fair ride if he is tall enough. Remind me of myself before I had kids and started climbing the hill.

This is originaly where Lauren started off. She was riding with Jacob. Then Jacob decided to get off and she would not ride alone.

The journey has started with the field trips. The first on this year was with Joseph's Pre-K class. Oh fun.....A field trip to the pumpkin patch with 4 and 5 year old ankle bitters, LOL. As you can see by Joe's face we had a beautiful day. It turned out better than I thought though. In fact it was the shortest field trip I have ever been on since Jacob started school 6 years ago.

For this picture below I have to say, if you know Joe you know exactly what was on his mind when he sat in the seat of this little tractor. "Anyone wana have a tractor race? I will go sooo fast I will pass you up and win....BOO-YAH!!!!
This is the biggest rooster that I have ever seen!!! We just had to have a picture of Joe on this rooster to compare the size.

Halloween 2009

HALLOWEEN!!! The kids were soooo pumped and ready to go. We always go with a group of family members and neighbors. This year was my neice Sarah's last year to go trick or treating. So she tagged along with us on our more than 2 mile journey through our neighborhood.

This year Joseph was Speed Racer, Lauren was a Bratz Cat, and Jacob was the headless horseman. He has gotten to that age where he is now wanting the nasty and scariest costumes. Well, it took a few days. But Jacob and I came to a happy medium when it came to what he would be. Of course Joseph wanted to be everything that he saw. Poor thing, he was not sure what he wanted to be. He just knew all the costumes he saw were of interest to him. Amazingly Lauren only changed her mind 2 or 3 times. This is amazing to me because she is a female.

Below you will see two of our most valued neighbors. Jacob is always going over and visiting them. This is Mr. Gary and Mrs. Mary his wife. They have dressed up as Bettle Juice and a Gobblin. They are not your typical everyday older couple. These people are full of life.......Unfortunately thay have thier house up for sale, so not sure how much longer we will have them as neighbors.
